Listen to McKayla Maroney talking about being healed by Master John Douglas

Welcome readers from today’s The Daily Beast article all about CMA and in particular McKayla Maroney. The quotes of Hartnett’s predictably arrogant and belittling response to the reporter are especially worth reading. No surprises a quote from MJD himself was not forthcoming.

One thing not mentioned about McKayla’s involvement is her mother is also in CMA. But if you only read one other post on my blog, whether you are in CMA, ex-CMA or merely interested, make it Master John Douglas Miracle Worker? Read This First . Learn how people are misled to think they’ve been healed by charlatans like Master John Douglas.

Today I’m posting an audio testimony by McKayla from the Let’s Get Metaphysical podcast in 2020. It’s run by Renata Maniaci, an influential CMA Elite.

Her website features CMA imagery prominently, including the so-called “Maha Crystal“:

Hi, my name’s McKayla. I met Master John about 4 years ago. I was really sick, I knew I needed some sort of miracle to get better because nobody was helping me. I went to so many different doctors and I ended up having what they call “chronic fatigue” but Master John now speaks of it as just the name they give it ’cause they don’t know what else to call it when you can’t get out of bed for 3 years. I was so fatigued constantly, I felt so heavy and tired. I didn’t know what was wrong with me.

I used to be a gymnast, trained 8 hours a day all the time, was in the Olympics. It didn’t make sense for me go from being a high energy hard working person to thinking I was crazy. Who am I now? Am I lazy? What’s wrong? You go to doctors and they tell you you’re making it up. A big part of being sick was the mental toll it took on me. I didn’t know who I was anymore.

I also knew there was something missing in my life spiritually. Ever since I was young I wanted to meet some sort of guru. It was crazy that I ended up meeting a friend in Long Beach and she told me “I think this Master John guy can maybe help you, he works with angels.” And I was like “I love angels!” I was already into Doreen Virtue at the time and people who were into the spiritual type stuff.

He also helps with understanding spirituality better, it’s not so like ‘woo-woo‘ it’s just like truth which I loved about him right away. I connected with it so much. It felt like everything that was missing in the spiritual world for me.

Anyway, when I met him it literally felt like the missing piece of my life that I was always looking for and then I got to have a 5 minute session with him. I was pretty tired that day but after he spoke I felt so much bliss. My mom went with me and we were laughing the whole time it was actually rude; that’s how much bliss when you see Master John it like brings this childness out of you. And when you see the people who come to the events that have been around for a while there’s this light to them and Master John always mentions that. For new people that come to events they have to look out for that.

My 5 minute session with him: I walked in, he’s so peaceful and kind. I said “Hi, I’ve just been dealing with terrible fatigue and gave him the paper that literally said chronic fatigue, I have leaky gut, I had stomach issues so bad I couldn’t eat anything without almost passing out. I was having like histamine reactions and didn’t really know what was going on …

In a second he’s like “That’s a bone marrow infection”, which he explains in his lectures. A little more is about mold that can get into your bone, bone marrow stuff. He makes it sound like it makes way more sense. But he killed it for me and I felt literally burning in my chest, in my throat like something just like exploded and I jumped. With gymnastics I know pain, it literally hurt, I was like “What was that?” He was like “That’s all the toxins from a terrible bone marrow infection you had that I just killed, it was all the toxins exploding at once and like fleshing out of my body. It had been in there for 4 years.

It was really painful actually but I needed it. I’ve not had chronic fatigue since.

I was so energized after I felt good again, I got back to living my life. It was weird and that’s what Master John’s people talk about when you’re around him miracles become a part of your life, you just see it happen all the time.

I have a friend who was cured from Lyme diesease and my dad actually passed away early this year, and there were so many blessings that came along with that, that Master John helped me with.

Another thing he helped me with is extremely bad leaky gut and digestive issues. It didn’t get healed right away, I had to stick around him for like a year to get better. For people who see Master John and struggle for a couple of years it’s usually just karmic but now I’m all better and can eat normal food again. It was just a part of my path and needing to stick around to be part of the family.

So for people that also have terrible digestive stuff he’s your guy.

McKayla

McKayla speaks breathlessly about MJD and what she believes he did for her. Her testimony is just like other MJD believers who think they’re beneficiaries of his pretend powers.

This interview proved for me CMA were fully aware who McKayla was and that she was a significant member of the church. Her surname was never used. Not for the first time, her association was partially concealed so not to attract outside attention.

Chairman Hartnett with a painting of Master John Douglas (undated photo)

“He makes it sound like it makes way more sense” – this says everything about how MJD works. Away from his presence in the cold light of day, what he says and does makes no sense does it? Killing toxins from a bone marrow infection thanks to angels. If something doesn’t work it’s “karma”: buy a Karmic Mitigation Blessing to help with that. If something does appear to work, tell your friends. He has followers coming back for years to buy products and go to seminars. At least he used to: is he currently sequestered somewhere and living off the considerable CMA proceeds?

On McKayla’s new Instagram account for health & wellness topics @glohe_ she has posted about dietary and digestive issues but has yet to mention Master John Douglas’s supposed knowledge and powerful abilities in those areas which she raved about in 2020. Let’s see if she ever does.

Global Repair becomes lovegodslove

CMA have not posted on their social media pages since 13-14 December 2020. And no newsletter sent since December 19. An unusually long period of silence giving an impression of abandonment similiar to 30 June – 16 July 2020.

No seasonal posts as in previous years on December 25, 31 and January 1:

No events are scheduled virtual or otherwise, besides the Global Repair daily video replay on twitch. A wearisome 1-hour edit of “karmic repairs” and a 2010 teleseminar clip, to little attention. More on this below.

Have CMA people been more preoccupied recently trying to defend themselves on Reddit ?

CULT

But nothing suggests abandonment more than the presence of a striking comment on CMA’s most recent Instagram post:

https://www.instagram.com/p/CIyjyEqhX5H/

The “CULT” comment was made on December 28. I’d expect CMA to delete it upon sight but it remains today, January 5. Which is surprising bearing in mind CMA’s unconvincing assertions they’re not a cult. A rare example of a negative comment on CMA’s social media. How much longer will it remain now I’ve posted about it? Let’s see.

24 February 2021 update: after approximately 8-9 weeks the comment has now gone.

Twitch

However, CMA have made one social media update worth discussing. Their Global Repair twitch channel is no longer @globalrepair but @lovegodslove. No explanation is given for this change. It has just 15 followers whereas @globalrepair has 107.

https://www.twitch.tv/lovegodslove

Unlike the old twitch channel, @lovegodslove states its CMA association, uses a CMA graphic and links to masterangels.org and CMA’s YouTube:

Santa Fe, 10 February 2018

The phrase “Love God’s Love” is not new. It first appeared on their social media 27 February 2018 promoting a $125 workshop video:

https://www.facebook.com/churchofthemasterangels/posts/913195958847876

“During this groundbreaking event in Santa Fe on February 10th, 2018, Master John Douglas distributed some of the highest blessings ever given at a workshop. He explained that at some point in our many incarnations, we reach a nirvana moment where no further progress can be made until we love God’s love. He proceeded to create this effect in everyone who was in the room and on the live teleconference of the event. Within minutes, world consciousness shifted and changed for the better, and the Elite graduates in the room were able to scan the truth of that impact.”

https://masterangels.org/product/20180210-stream

Dear reader, do you remember world consciousness shifting and changing for the better on 10th February 2018?

Let’s look for evidence of “the truth of that impact”.

On Wikipedia’s page for events on that date (I note MJD’s “groundbreaking workshop” is not listed, a shocking omission) the most significant are:

A double-decker bus overturns in Hong Kong killing at least 19 people

A bus carrying tourists crashes in Indonesia killing at least 27 people

A helicopter crashes in the Grand Canyon killing three people and injuring the other four on board.

Israel-Syria conflict: 6-10 soldiers killed

Shootings in Kentucky kill 5

Two officers of Ohio Police Department are shot and killed in an ambush-type attack

Yet core CMA higher-up Jan Casebolt commented:

Returning to @lovegodslove twitch, there is a single comment during the currently available replay. Predictably, it’s from Jan Casebolt:

https://www.twitch.tv/videos/861705926

As seen, no-one responded – so much for “love of God’s love”.

I’m reminded of a quote from The Fault in Our Stars by John Green:

“I know that love is just a shout into the void, and that oblivion is inevitable”

McKayla Maroney’s Secret Master John Douglas Adoration Page

Yesterday saw a large increase in visitors to my blog after being linked on Crazy Days and Nights showbiz gossip blog. I sincerely hope you enjoy the rabbit hole.

In my main McKayla article I included images from a furtive social media account run by McKayla last updated in 2019. Asking for trust, I declined to reveal the details at the time but today is the day, together with more details. Because within approximately the past week the account has been deleted. Doubtless someone within CMA, maybe McKayla herself, read my post and decided it was in their interest to remove the account from twitter. It joins various teleseminars disappearing from the Internet shortly after I wrote about them. But now it’s gone I’ll share a lot more from it.

The account shown above was @WeLuvMasterJohn on twitter and its discovery on 22nd November 2019 is something I will long remember. It was so truly baffling, even disconcerting, I couldn’t believe what I was looking at. To discover her secret trove of public MJD love was surreal. Up until that day I had seen little evidence suggesting the extent of her total devotion to MJD.

I can now finally post the full profile picture:

@WeLuvMasterJohn twitter avatar. McKayla Maroney with unknown others (circa summer-late 2018) at a CMA Elite Development Course graduation celebration or similiar event

Although I can’t now link to the twitter profile, the evidence is undeniable for its existence. By way of proof: as of today (2 January 2021) anyone Googling the account’s username can still find and open one cached tweet and two cached photos. I urge you to verify this yourself:

Part of Google’s cached search results for “WeLuvMasterJohn” (2 January 2021)

Google’s incomplete cached page for a “WeLuvMasterJohn” video tweet (see below)

Finding the account was simple. I searched twitter for “Master John Douglas” and scrolled down to find old mentions of him. I soon saw a tweet from this account. Intrigued by the account name I opened the profile and was shocked to see the profile picture included McKayla in a previously unknown photo underneath the words “We love Master John Douglas”. Shocked is an understatement as it dawned the account was run by McKayla herself: I scrolled down the profile and saw more MJD adoration in photos, videos and tweets.

I was seeing a new side of McKayla, outside gymnastics, outside whatever fame she has, beyond anything she has ever posted on her verified social media up to that point. And the level of CMA/MJD devotion expressed was unbelievable.

Only 21 tweets/retweets were on the account, spanning 22 December 2018 to 14 January 2019. Most were made on 2nd January. This was during a time when McKayla’s official twitter was deactivated. I’m only going to discuss notable tweets here.

The reasons for the creation of this account and its disuse I can only speculate. Was it abandoned following the death of McKayla’s father on 13th January 2019? Evidentially it was created to show devotion to MJD without using her verified twitter account with 188K+ followers (total at the time). It’s not a normal account anyone would typically have, let alone a 20+ year-old like McKayla. It reminded me of a juvenile fan page.

McKayla tweets link to CMA’s video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5R0ACbAn_Jk

A crucial observation is the name “McKayla” didn’t appear in any tweets or the account name and bio. I assume deliberate to avoid the account showing in twitter search results for anybody who happened to search her name. McKayla or someone else in CMA had an idea to create this account but was sure to obfuscate who was behind it.

Except there was one buried occurrence of her name on the account. As I wrote before, I suspect it’s no accident it appears only within her MJD testimony tweet image, therefore not searchable or easily noticed. I post it again but now with full context of the complete tweet:

@WeLuvMasterJohn twitter 2 January 2019

McKayla says MJD cured her of a catalog of complaints: fibromyalgia (widespread pain), acne and a leaky gut. She uses the hashtag #ThankyouMasterJohn which is another way the account was potentially discoverable by anyone looking for things CMA-related.

She says in the tweet that the photo was taken in Chicago (a Midwest hotspot for CMA activity) which seems to contradict her verified twitter the summer before, when the Los Angeles-based McKayla posted the same photo with caption “stay n cool in the valley heat”:

Posting again her full testimony image:

It’s an astonishing few paragraphs. Nonetheless it accords with MJD testimonials from numerous other CMA members. This is McKayla in full evangelist mode, promoting MJD’s “miracle healings“, his CDs and products, attributing her very life to him and declaring he’ll do the same for others. Not only has MJD made her think he can “cure the incurable” but also she must “honor him and make him proud“.

I’m surprised she signed it with her full name. Whatever the purpose of this entire account, it did not receive much attention within CMA or outside. Just a handful of likes plus 3 retweets/mentions were received. Was the account abandoned due to lack of interest? Most followers and followings were known CMA people plus @churchofma themselves who retweeted her once:

By late April 2020, @churchofma twitter had unfollowed @WeLuvMasterJohn and every other account they were following.

At no point did @WeLuvMasterJohn and @McKaylaMaroney follow each other as far as I know.

A zealot yet she hides her signed endorsement of this “miracle worker” who “gives and gives so gracefully” on an insignificant twitter page where almost no-one will see it, instead of posting it to her 500K+ followers on her official twitter or 1.3million followers on Instagram. Why this covert behaviour? Could it be CMA and McKayla are afraid of people’s negative reaction upon learning MJD’s preposterous claims about “master angels” or watching the buffoonery he performs at meetings? MJD would justifiably be laughed out of town like a travelling quack of yore. His plastic “harmony devices” and placebo pendants allegedly with powers to dispel negative thoughts and control dogs would be thrown into the trash.

And remember she puts her money where her mouth is, being a graduate of MJD’s Elite Development course for $10,000+ per 4-day weekend.

Dog Tired of Master John

Two videos were tweeted by @WeLuvMasterJohn. Both previously unseen. The first is below.

When I took this screenshot in November 2019 the video had 36 views. An indication how little traction @WeLuvMasterJohn got. The last time I looked at it before deletion it had barely increased.

Here’s the full video:

McKayla (seen on right) and unidentified person on left (McKayla’s mom?) with dog. Undated video.

They are playing one of MJD’s CDs/mp3s. I don’t know which one but it’s not stated if any are intended for animal use. Being unable to follow MJD’s guidance and all.

Example CD description:

The Master Angels provided a comprehensive package of energetic, spiritual, and physical healing techniques to initiate entity release, drain negative emotions, remove stress, retrieve soul fragments, cleanse chakras, balance hormones, remove spirit cords, activate cells, remove blockages, and strengthen the grounding cord.

Perhaps the dog would get more benefit from a $149.99 Pet Repair Disc?

Product description:

Pets are often very aware with heightened senses. They are susceptible to strains on their physiology from the impulses around them such as from other animals, sounds and frequencies in cities, or even electronic equipment in buildings.

The Master Angels create an energetic matrix that disperses radiation, negative thoughts, and negative emotions from a pet’s energy fields. They work with an animal’s immune and nervous systems while balancing its hormones, emotions, and brain chemicals. This helps better care for the loving animals that we share our lives with to keep them healthy, happy, and vibrant.

Some @WeLuvMasterJohn tweets

A previously unseen Snapchat-style photo captioned “Be An Angel Day” / “my favorite day”:

@WeLuvMasterJohn sharing CMA’s “Prosperity Blessing” video at https://masterangels.org/prosperity-blessing/

I wonder why she wanted her karma repaired at 5:30 AM

Now this clandestine twitter page is gone, existing only as a relic of her belief in the charlatan Master John Douglas and his Church of Master Angels. A man who claims to commune with angels and the “Lords of Karma” to direct miracle healings for the sick and needy by waving his arms about and selling $250 “remote blessings” and “karmic repairs”.

This failed twitter account now has no part in chairman Christopher Hartnett‘s harebrained prophecy that the “natural order of this movement” is to become “a multi-billion dollar company“.
