A Demotion for Master John Douglas

An astonishing alteration to CMA’s website in the past 48 hours or so: the entire MJD section on the About page has been removed.

And added to the top of the page is a new section:

We are anti cult

This “message from the CMA board of directors” seems to me a desperate list of faith-based core beliefs rather than the stern disclaimers they normally use. It also appears on the masterangels.org home page.

These changes are Christopher Hartnett’s and CMA’s latest attempts to rewrite history, to pretend the evidence all over my blog and elsewhere never happened. An unconvincing attempt to dissociate from MJD. I suspect an effort to limit exposure to liabilty.

Like Hartnett’s Reddit edits and other recent CMA deletions the changes do nothing to alter facts: MJD says he’s a healer and CMA and Hartnett have promoted it for years.

Below is the removed MJD section, once unthinkable it would disappear:

CMA About page (2018)

So many absurd claims, falsehoods and unverifiable biographical details. Not least “John is known throughout the world as a consummate Master Healer …” – the very part I highlighted in my previous post a few days ago as showing up the lies and contradictions in CMA.

I wrote “Even if that highlighted line gets removed from the About page it will not remove the countless other times CMA and MJD have said he can heal. MJD appears to be a kind of Schrödinger’s Healer: a master healer while at same time doing no healing.”

Accurate foresight on my part, which is more than the “gifted clairvoyant” MJD has ever had. Though I never expected the whole MJD section to go.

I also observed “Hartnett curiously doesn’t name him [MJD] in his newest batch of [Reddit] comments“. The absence of explicit mentions of MJD was also a sign CMA were moving MJD into the background.

It’s extraordinary CMA are now trying to wipe away MJD. The two are joined at the hip, as is Global SELF Foundation. Hartnett created CMA solely as a vehicle for MJD, by his own admission:

“Superhero of Love” podcast, Episode 69 (2019)

Hartnett:

“We have some very prominent doctors, literally global doctors, that have joined us and the research was coming back that there was one person that was healing consistently and that was Master John Douglas and so we decided to really focus a lot of our attention on him and so we started a new non-profit foundation and that was the CMA International foundation which also has a subsidiary of the Church of the Master Angels and that’s a non-denominational church.

And this from Jeffrey Wagner, “CEO and global ambassador of CMA”:

Jeffrey Wagner, CMA Teleseminar 21 March 2020

Wagner:

Chris and Linda’s investigative work brought them to Master Healer John Douglas of Australia. John Douglas brought Chris’s medical nightmare to an end. Shortly thereafter Chris and Linda formed CMA International Foundation, a second 501(3)(c) organization which they structured around John’s unparalleled successes and achievements. CMA International Foundation provides a framework through which John Douglas can help the world.

Jeffrey Wagner seen in “Saved from catastrophic heart attack” CMA video (2019)

Sidenote: Wagner and his wife Debra say MJD removed a blood clot in his heart, saving his life. This video has been removed from CMA’s YouTube, notably the only removal in the “Divine Miracle Stories” series.

And as I showed in my previous post, the link between CMA and MJD actually runs much deeper than a “framework” or “a lot of attention”. He controls CMA:

CMA internal conference call, 28 October 2019

Hartnett:

And when you say “I’m gonna go see John” or “I’m gonna go do this or that” you were talking to us. You’re not going anywhere around anybody. Nobody including me has credentials that were gonna supersede the organization that’s here and go directly to John. John is in charge. What he wants is there.

This is all divine, this is all being run by divinity. And you have the ability to scan at any given moment to see the truth of every single word I’m saying. Because this is not coming from us, we’re not making this up.

And we want you all to be there at the finish line. You can feel it, we’re ready to explode.

So it’s unconvincing there’s any actual split taking place between Hartnett/CMA and MJD.

MJD has also been removed from the Elite Invitation page. Another public-facing effort to put distance between MJD and his money-making church CMA. The Elite course has always been MJD’s course, it doesn’t exist without him. The new invitation page still uses his words but is no longer signed by him like before:

Elite Development Course 2020 invitation

Nobody else claims to possess the knowledge to teach the “advanced level processes” and “extensive remodelling of the consciousness for preparation of future stages of Elite Training” advertised for the Elite courses.

At the end of this next audio, MJD forgets he’s supposed to be merely a “frequent speaker and lecturer” for CMA and Global SELF Foundation and speaks as the man in charge he is. “Our organizations“; “all the people who work behind the scenes for me“; “we really are blessed with incredible people“:

MJD, CMA Teleseminar 30 October 2020

MJD:

Yes I did have a saga after coming to the US, very interestingly. A long way around the world I flew and we had our beautiful course on Heavenly Mountain and it was very successful, I very much enjoyed being there. And congratulations to all the new Elite Initiates. I know you’re going through some difficult times … continue to use the secrets given to you …

I flew home, ended up in hotel quarantine and I’m still I think brain damaged from it because I’m walking 10 paces in one direction then turning around and walking back 10 paces the other way and I can’t get anything done. Well I’ll just have to overcome that with Subconscious Repair. But all jokes aside, it was a very interesting time …

… thank you for all the people who made this happen, thank you for all the people who work behind the scenes for me and thank you to the most magnificent being Chris Hartnett and Linda and all the people who are magnificent in our organizations, we really are blessed with incredible people. I can’t say that enough.

However, mentions of MJD do remain elsewhere on the CMA site. Including one in an especially prominent place. Will these go too?

Personally speaking it’s huge the About page has been altered like this. It was the About page that really told me this Church was very bizarre indeed and completely implausible. As for most people stumbling upon the site I guess. It’s the About page where CMA set out their background to the public, where they write what they think are authoritative facts to explain their existence. Seeing the key section removed is something I never imagined back in 2018.

MJD with Christopher and Linda Hartnett and other supporters in happier times (2017)

So what now for MJD’s “unparalleled successes and achievements“? Who will promote and enable him to “help the world” now his ‘framework’ appears to have collapsed? An unceremonious retirement for the “world renowned theologian” to be sure.

Will CMA find another “Master Healer” or guru to replace him? Who would take that job? Will there ever be another seminar or Elite course?

Like Mother, Like Daughter

I’ve previously revealed McKayla Maroney‘s deep involvement with the Church of Master Angels and her idolizing of Master John Douglas. In the last few years McKayla has transitioned from ex-Elite gymnast to a graduate of CMA’s Elite Development course learning “proof of God” and the ability to “remote scan matter and energies”.

Now I will reveal the discovery that Erin Maroney, McKayla’s mother, is also a serious devotee of MJD, praising him and attending his Elite Development courses just like her eldest daughter does.

Erin and McKayla Maroney, @McKaylaMaroneyOfficial Facebook (2014)

The proof is in two videos on CMA’s YouTube channel.

My Miracle Testimonials

The first video is called “My Miracle Testimonials” posted 5 September 2018. Filming date and location are unknown but likely at a seminar, workshop or Elite course that year:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jeMlbWbZFGA

It consists of believers briefly describing MJD’s “miracle cures” of their various health issues after medicine failed to help. They all thank him for improving their lives. Emotive piano music plays and the editing cuts between the talking heads.

No names are given but three of the CMA higher-ups included are Jan Casebolt (“He brought me closer to God”), Debra Wagner (“I experienced the most amazing absolute cooling sensation”) and Richard Sarnat (“He basically waved it away within 15 seconds”).

At the 1:53 mark I recognised another face: Erin Maroney, McKayla’s mother. This was completely unexpected and quite a shock to me when I first saw it in November 2019.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jeMlbWbZFGA

Erin says:

“The very first night after seeing John I slept through the night for the first time in ten years.”

Later in same video at 1:46 mark she says:

“It’s been the biggest blessing of my life. And I’m just an average everyday mom who will never be able to thank John enough.”

Leaving aside the question if Erin really is “an average everyday mom”, I don’t know how or exactly when McKayla and her mom were introduced to MJD, whether one introduced the other, or a third party introduced them both together. Reminder: McKayla claims he cured her of fibromyalgia, her testimony saying “What do you say to someone who has given you your life back. Who cures the incurable. Who gives and gives so gracefully. Who has time and time again blessed my life with miracles I can barely comprehend.”

Fragments of McKayla’s CMA life.

Gratitude Video

The second video is simply titled “Gratitude Video” posted 24 October 2019. Unknown location, possibly CMA’s “chapel” on Heavenly Mountain.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N4DvtwcPubk

We can infer from the introductory text (above) that Erin, like everyone shown, has joined CMA’s $10,000-per person Elite Development course. I assume Erin and McKayla attended together but notably McKayla isn’t shown or mentioned in this video, or any video I’ve seen.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N4DvtwcPubk

“Gratitude Video” is very similiar to 2018’s “My Miracle Testimonials”. Emotive music plays as MJD, unseen, is aggrandized by a selection of his cult members. Many wear the CMA pendant.

Again no names are given. Various CMA higher-ups are included: Debra & Jeffrey Wagner, Jan Casebolt, Renata Maniaci. There is a brief but significant glimpse of Hartnett‘s youngest daughter Grace whom he says is an Elite graduate and can kill viruses.

The sentimentality and veneration of MJD has intensified since 2018. Praise and thanks are poured onto him for clearing “karmic debt” and miracle cures of infections, ulcerative colitis, liver parasites, cancer and so on. As if that wasn’t enough, he is lauded for their general spiritual development and “truly universal and comprehensive transformation in every single department and aspect of life”.

The only purpose of this video is to elevate the “humble” MJD personally; not CMA, not the “Master Angels”, not the alleged 400+ other Elites supposedly taught the same powers. Imagine having a video like this made about you. Imagine the ego boost. How would your friends react to it?

At 4:11 mark Erin appears and we get a quick and rather vague, generic thanks:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N4DvtwcPubk

“Thank you Master John for leading me out of the darkness and showing me the way to the truth and the light.”

Erin and McKayla are not the only parent/child pair to follow MJD. There are examples of devotees passing on his teachings to their children, much like a Christian for example would indoctrinate a child with their own religion. I’ll write more about this in a later post. This was a factor in prompting me to finally create this blog, realizing there was not enough criticism of CMA/MJD’s exploitative, fabricated, deceitful world.

Other Planets

Most CMA members and MJD followers appear to be past middle age. This makes sense because that age group naturally have more chronic medical problems, age-related and recurrent. The kind of physical problems that come and go but never permanently go away, but MJD can exploit for years to persuade his duped followers the peaks and troughs of their pain align with the waves of their karmic balance.

Actual statistics aren’t available, but I’ve noticed women appear to outnumber men, at least within the circle of higher-ups and social media supporters of CMA.

Which gives me a suitable place to post this audio clip of Hartnett talking in typically grandiose and otherworldly style about CMA’s “most powerful women on the planet”:

Hartnett, CMA conference call 2019

“We have some of the most powerful women on the planet. That’s reality. They were on other planets and they came here. They’ve already learned a lot of these lessons, they’ve been given by John before… they already know a lot of this stuff without even learning it.”

A puzzling remark. I would be curious to hear about the time spent on other planets by these women, Hartnett’s knowledge of it and his implication MJD was with them. Need we add “space adventurer” to the list of his improbable achievements? Some of MJD’s claims are decidedly where no man has gone before.

Or perhaps this popular 1970s song below isn’t about aliens but is a prophecy of MJD?

In your mind you have capacities, you know

To telepath messages through the vast unknown

Please close your eyes and concentrate

With every thought you think

With your mind you have ability to form

And transmit thought energy far beyond the norm

You close your eyes, you concentrate

“Calling Occupants of Interplanetary Craft”, The Carpenters

Joking aside, I suppose Hartnett was referring to the karmic notion of past lives. He connects it to MJD’s lessons somehow being retained over sucessive incarnations. Though I’m still unsure if he’s referring to their past lives existing on actual other planets. Mars? Venus? Delta Vega?

The fact McKayla and her mother are both deep into CMA shows how manipulative and persuasive the cult of MJD is to those in the orbit of their snake oil enterprise and its advocates. I highlight them because of the weight of evidence and to bring attention to the whole business. Elite Development attendees are banned from sharing the details of course contents. Though I expect most would be too embarrassed to speak about their “secret knowledge” to a non-CMA audience, lest the utter ridiculousness of it be thrown right back at them.

Hidden In Plain Sight

CMA YouTube

Pendants are the most notable physical product CMA sells. They’re the principal identifier the wearer is a MJD devotee. Buying and wearing one of these pendants demonstrates you’re deep into CMA and Master John Douglas’s teaching, not least because of the significant cost.

Available in three sizes 19mm, 25mm, 34mm and a choice of 4 colors: silver, rose gold, yellow gold, white gold. The prices range $149.99 – $1949.99

To be clear, not all followers wear a pendant, it’s not compulsory to buy one, presumably not all are willing to spend that much. But it’s very much a sign you’re a serious MJD believer. Like everything CMA/MJD related, the more involved you become the more products and courses you’re recommended, and the more you spend.

Like the $10,000+ Elite course, the pendants are aspirational products.

The design is not original and not even specifically CMA but is important to the Church. The pendant (chain not included) has a low visual impact when worn and not something that would attract much attention. It doesn’t appear out of the ordinary. But once you know the origins, they are easy to spot.

They’re not only worn at CMA events or when using a meditation CD or other spiritual tool. From my observations they tend to be worn day to day.

Two CMA members with their pendants, Instagram 1st Dec 2020

The design is called “Metatron’s Cube”, an example of so-called “sacred geometry”. Metatron is said to be an angel from the Old Testament but has no specific links to CMA. I’ve never read a proper explanation why this symbol is associated with CMA and I don’t recall any occurrence of the word “metatron” by CMA. One could almost say CMA/MJD have appropriated it

But further general reading on the symbol from non-CMA sources e.g. here and here give a good indication why MJD/CMA use it. It matches well with MJD’s teachings on energy and negativity:

Metatron’s Cube is a symbol that’s meant to represent the journey of energy throughout the universe, and of balance within the universe. It is made up of all the Platonic Solids, but it also has thirteen circles in it to represent the thirteen archangels.

One common thing Metatron’s Cube is used for is as a meditation aid.

It repulses and disperses negative energy while acting as a kind of battery for you to draw energy from. This centrifugal force, even if it’s only in your mind, can allow you to shake off the negativity of a difficult day, and move forward with positive energy flowing into and through you.

phidle.com

However since 2019 the symbol has for some reason appeared very rarely in CMA material. In earlier years it was used often in their social media posts, e.g:

CMA Facebook, 4th December 2018

The symbol remains significant for CMA. I consider it their unofficial logo. It also appears on other physical products, such as their “Harmony Repair Directed Prayer Device for Travel” which is supposedly able to “clear the air of negative frequencies”:

CMA Instagram 1st July 2018

It’s a print of the symbol encased in plastic.

The CMA chapel in Boone, North Carolina has it affixed to a wall overlooking the so-called “Maha Crystal”:

Here it is overlooking a seminar, late 2018:

So what’s the deal with the pendants?

MJD devotee, Instagram 13th June 2017

A Google search of “metatron pendants” shows CMA are far from the only sellers of such pendants. Indeed, one of the companies found are presumably CMA’s supplier, though I haven’t found one that exactly matches the CMA design. You could save a lot of $$$ and buy a 3D-print model for only $10 and make your own, though I’m sure MJD and Hartnett would frown upon it.

So wearing the design doesn’t necessarily mean you are a MJD follower or even heard of him or CMA, but there is a large overlap between CMA people and people with aligned beliefs who’d be interested in wearing one. The photos on my blog will always be of known CMA people, however. Whenever I’m researching CMA, it’s never long until I see one.

CMA higher-up Jan Casebolt seen wearing her pendant in a testimonial video

Back in 2017, one of the earliest CMA posts made clear what the benefits of the pendant were; the caption parallels the description of the generic “Metatron’s Cube” I quoted previously:

CMA Instagram 2nd May 2017

“This beautiful pendant uses sacred geometry to provide protection from negative energy. Wearing it throughout your day creates an angelic shield against negative thoughts …”

But now in 2020, CMA never post on social media anything about their pendant, and the website product page is far less direct in explaining why you should get one:

The Master Angels can reduce the negative effects of electromagnetic radiation, negative thoughts, and negative emotions while energizing and empowering the immune system, aura, and energy fields.

https://masterangels.org/product/19-mm-gold-pendant/

CMA’s product description above is carefully worded to not exactly say the pendant does anything. Instead it states what the fictional Master Angels can do. I assume this is for legal reasons so CMA aren’t selling unlicenced medical/healthcare products and making claims about them (but see the Instagram post above about the travel device, where their caption fails to make the distinction.)

The fatuous idea being the pendant somehow channels that power to the wearer’s aura in their everyday life wherever they go. This matches what the non-CMA articles linked above say about Metatron’s Cube.

But that’s not all. This post from 2018 reveals the pendants appear to come with a set of “commands” activated by touching. Here the winner of CMA’s “September Pendant Testimonial contest” relates controlling a dangerous dog with it:

CMA Facebook 16 October 2018

I do hope “Stokes Dickins” took the opportunity to recommend the dog owner buy a $149.99 CMA “pet repair disc” to calm her dog. Think of the karmic rewards, Stokes.

Here it’s worn on a bracelet:

Facebook 2017

A rare example of MJD mentioning the pendants:

“Our healing capabilities … we have devices which I won’t talk about but for our family and our people use your devices, especially wear your pendant and there are reasons for that I’ll tell you later. Use our devices they will work…”

21 Mar 2020 teleseminar

“Devices which I won’t talk about”, “reasons for that I’ll tell you later” how very vague! Wouldn’t want to publicly claim the pendants do something right?

But a deeper dive reveals MJD wasn’t always so cagey about the pendant’s powers, before CMA came along with their “great legal talent” in the form of “top legal mind” Jeffrey Wagner presumably advising vagueness was the order of the day, lest they fall foul of FDA’s Medical Device regulations.

He’s been selling these pendants since approx end of 2011, 6 years before Hartnett formally established CMA for him:

www.spirit-repair.com 2012 via Internet Archive [pendant images not available]

Back then MJD was explicit what powers the pendants supposedly gave with a longer set of claims than CMA now give:

This beautiful tool is programmed to directly accomplish the following:

Dispels negative frequencies including electromagnetic radiation, background earth radiation, other forms of radiation, varying negative frequencies from radio waves, full body scanners, gamma rays and more and dissipates it out of your energy fields.

Serves as a barrier by dis-empowering the affects of any negative emanation from people around you such as negative emotional energy, negative thoughts, negative psychic energy, and negative intentions.

Energizes and empowers your immune system, aura and energy fields to keep you strong and is designed for your protection.

Needless to say, it’s all complete nonsense.

Like CMA’s product page today, no reason is given to buy any size/color over another besides price and personal preference. Except suggesting the 19mm size is ideal for children. However, it is easy to imagine the larger more expensive sizes are privately recommended as more “powerful”.

Back in 2012 MJD also sold a $3,629.99 diamond variation:

www.spirit-repair.com 2012 via Internet Archive

Hmm… diamonds are very on-brand for Hartnett, I wonder why CMA don’t sell them.

Debra Wagner is seen wearing this diamond variation in her husband Jeffrey Wagner’s Divine Miracle Stories video :

These pendants must be one of MJD’s biggest sources of income for years.

I’ve not seen evidence MJD himself has ever worn a pendant, which gives impression he considers himself above such earthly tools. Or doesn’t believe in them. I’ve always held he doesn’t believe a lot of what he says, and doesn’t truly believe his “Master Angels” fairy tale.

Then again, maybe it wasn’t MJD’s idea to sell them in the first place…
